Job Description

Technical Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead and oversee complex technical and operational projects, ensuring their successful execution within defined scope, schedule, and budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management methodologies, compliance with technical requirements, and team leadership. This role requires a strategic thinker who can coordinate cross-functional teams, manage risks, and drive results while adhering to industry standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management & Execution: Lead the planning, tracking, and execution of assigned projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with customer and organizational objectives.
  • Scope & Deliverables: Define project scope, deliverables, milestones, budgets, and schedules, ensuring compliance with technical requirements.
  • Team Leadership & Coordination: Oversee and guide project teams, fostering collaboration across disciplines to meet programmatic needs.
  • Risk & Quality Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring adherence to quality control and assurance measures, especially under NQA-1 standards.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of project management policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates, reports, and risk assessments.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with DOE directives, including EVMS programs, DOE Order 413.3B, and NQA-1 requirements related to construction, fabrication, and quality management.
  • Budget & Resource Allocation: Assist in budget development and monitoring to ensure cost-effective project execution.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Required:
  • Proven experience managing technical projects, preferably in the DOE sector with a strong understanding of EVMS programs and DOE Order 413.3B compliance.
  • Experience in NQA-1 processes, quality assurance, and control within a construction or fabrication environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple complex issues simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and methodologies.
  • Preferred:
  • Prior experience supporting DOE construction projects with knowledge of EVMS tools and reporting .
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments with a focus on quality management and technical compliance.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
