We have an excellent opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager to join our team. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and managing internal teams and external Sales Reps to achieve sales targets with their given customers base. In this role, the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be expected to develop new customers and to expand customers already working with Elma. This person is expected to understand key purchasing factors and how to ensure Elma is situated in the best position to win the orders. The RSM is further responsible for understanding the products to a level that can support growth in additional markets.

• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales goals
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers
• Manage and lead an internal team for opportunity and proposal development, give guidance and mentoring as applicable.
• Identify and pursue new business in both defense and industrial markets.
• Lead Sales Representatives in your region for further development of new customers and new industries.
• Conduct market research and maintain understand of the trends of our industry and our competitors
• Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align sales strategies with company offerings
• Attend events and trade shows with Marketing team to promote our products and our company
• Maintain customer, lead and opportunity information in the CRM
• Maintain forecasts that will be pulled from the CRM
• Provide technical and price support to the Sales Representatives
• Support orders already in process, in case customer responses are lagging
• Assist in the training of Representatives
• Special sales projects as needed
• Other various duties as assigned

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong negotiation and closing skills, including understanding Terms and Conditions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High level of motivation and drive to succeed
• Proven successful record of technical sales in the electronics industry
• Exceptional organizational skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Engineering, Business or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of proven sales success in a project business
• Ability to analyze data and market trends to make informed decisions
• Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
