For every child, partnerships
Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Director PPD in coordination with the Director, the consultant will provide logistical support to organization of PPD events during the Executive Board and other key PPD events in January/ February (MSC, Davos etc.), especially side events and bilateral meetings, and for supporting partnership meetings related to advancing PPDs partnerships for EB and key events mentioned above. The consultant will also
support preparations (presentations & logistics etc.) for the upcoming cone retreat mid-February.
How can you make a difference?
The consultancy aims to assist the PPD Deputy Director and overall PPD team with a variety of functions that are essential for maintaining strong relationships with partners. Specifically, the tasks of the consultant will include:
Meeting Preparation, Coordination, and Facilitation: This includes organizing and facilitating both technical and high-level meetings. The consultant will ensure all logistical and content preparations are completed and that agendas, materials, and briefings are well-prepared and disseminated.
Engagement and Follow-Up: The consultant will also handle post-meeting follow-ups to keep momentum and align on next steps, including documentation of action points, ensuring that outcomes are communicated effectively to stakeholders.

Completion of secondary education is required, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to the field of work. A minimum of seven years’ experience in general office support, administration and related area is required. Training and experience using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other UNICEF software such as SharePoint; knowledge of integrated management information systems required. In-depth knowledge of UNICEF organizational structure, administrative policies, and procedures. Organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills and abilities. High sense of confidentiality, initiative, and good judgment. Ability to work effectively with people of different national and cultural backgrounds. Individuals engaged under a consultancy or individual contract will not be considered “staff members” under the Staff Regulations and Rules of the United Nations and UNICEF’s policies and procedures, and will not be entitled to benefits provided therein (such as leave entitlements and medical insurance coverage). Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicable) and health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract. Selected candidates are subject to confirmation of fully-vaccinated status against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) with a World Health Organization (WHO)-endorsed vaccine, which must be met prior to taking up the assignment.
