Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Property Manager. In this role, you will assist in the day-to-day operations of our property management department, ensuring efficient and effective management of our properties. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, strong organizational abilities, and a passion for real estate.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, prospective tenants, and vendors
- Assist with property leasing activities, including conducting property tours and processing lease applications
- Handle tenant inquiries and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise
- Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate tenant records and property information
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a professional and timely manner
- Ensure compliance with fair housing regulations and other applicable laws
- Assist with the administration of Section 8 housing programs, if applicable
- Support the property manager in coordinating maintenance requests and repairs
- Assist with the preparation of lease agreements, contracts, and other property-related documents
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service or property management is preferred
- Strong conflict management skills to effectively handle tenant issues or disputes
- Knowledge of property leasing processes and procedures
- Proficient in data entry and comfortable working with various software applications
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Familiarity with fair housing regulations and other relevant laws
- Understanding of real estate administrative tasks and contract management
